Heat exchanger in coke oven flue gas desulfurization and denitrification process

A coking and gas supply company has three 4.3m tamping side-loading coke ovens, which install a new desulfurization and denitrification plant.

The coke oven flue gas is firstly treated with dry desulfurization process by spraying 20-25μm sodium bicarbonate powder in the flue for desulfurization, and the desulfurized flue gas enters the Jemima flue gas heat exchanger for cooling to ensure the outlet temperature is below 250℃. After cooling, the flue gas enters the bag filter for dust removal and then enters the SCR reactor for denitrification and is discharged to the atmosphere.

The original flue gas SO2 content is 400mg/Nm3, after dry desulfurization the SO2 content in the flue gas is ≤50mg/Nm3. The designed sodium bicarbonate dosage of the dry desulfurization system sprayed into the system is 230kg/h.

Jema flue gas heat exchanger adopts plant circulating cooling water as cooling medium, and the temperature of plant circulating water is 25℃. Since the flue gas contains a large amount of sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate powder, the tubes’ surface is smooth, use the material is S30408 seamless stainless steel pipe.

Jemma flue gas heat exchanger is designed with the influence of ash accumulation, and a spray water cleaning system is installed at a suitable location. Easy to clean and clear the ash, facilitates the recovery of soot condensation particles and ensures the stable operation of the system.
