U Shape Tube Heat Exchanger

U shape tube heat exchanger is one of our common products. The reason why we call it U Tube Heat Exchanger is that, one long straight tube would be bended to a U shape, so the fluid would go from one side to another side and then go back.

 Due to the structural limitation of the U tube heat exchanger, it is easy to block and difficult to clean at the U-shaped corner. If some of the tubes  are blocked, we could abandon and seal  these heat exchange tubes  to make sure  that the remaining tubes could still work. However, if multiple heat exchange tubes are blocked, the heat exchange efficiency of the entire heat exchanger will be greatly reduced, and the original heat exchange function cannot be reached. In this way, the whole part of tube bundle is required to be replaced. We could also provide only tube bundles for replacement. 

What is U Tube Heat Exchanger?

A U-shaped tube heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger in which two fluids flow through separate tubes that are joined together in a U-shape. One fluid flows through the tubes on the left side of the U, while the other fluid flows through the tubes on the right side of the U. The two fluids exchange heat through the walls of the tubes, with the hotter fluid transferring heat to the cooler fluid. 

Advantage of U Tube Heat Exchanger:

There are 3 types of Shell And Tube Heat Exchanger. The easiest one is Fixed Tube Heat Exchanger. It has simple structure and low technical requirements, and it's easy to clean. But  if the temperature difference for shell side and tube side is big, it has risk of usage and the work life would be shorter. 

 Floating Head Heat Exchanger is a special heat exchanger that  is designed  to solve the problem of temperature differential stress. However, due to complex structure and much higher technical requirements, the production cost of this type is so much higher than Fixed Tube Heat Exchanger. For this reason, it's not as popular as U Tube Heat Exchanger.

Compared with Fixed Tube Heat Exchanger and Floating Head Heat Exchanger, Cost-efficient U-tube Heat Exchanger has medium production cost however it could erase the temperature differential stress as well. It is widely used in different industrial fields. As it's the most cost-efficient one, it has larger market than Floating Head Heat Exchanger.
